About the role
- Support strategic purchasing with all procurement-related tasks for new products and product changes
- Work closely with development teams, purchasing and suppliers to ensure required materials are available reliably and on time
- Request and compare quotations and prepare well-founded supplier selection recommendations
- Issue orders for prototypes, tools and pre-series requirements and clarify technical, commercial or logistical deviations
- Support the ramp-up of new products into series production and participate in procurement rounds to ensure a smooth start
- Implement technical and logistical changes at suppliers within the scope of change management
- Support our Advanced and Lifecycle Procurement Engineers with supplier-related matters
Requirements
- Completed vocational/technical training in a relevant field
- Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in a manufacturing/industrial company
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP R/3
- Basic commercial and technical understanding
- Good English skills
- Knowledge of ARAS or a comparable document management system
- Experience working with cross-functional project teams
