About the role

  • Participate in software projects (incident reporting system and Smart Rescue) to develop IT solutions for our customers in the firefighting sector
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of backend services and interfaces
  • Operate and maintain systems, including monitoring
  • Provide technical assessment of customer requirements in projects
  • Define the technology roadmap as part of product development

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or completed vocational training as an IT specialist with additional specialized training and several years of professional experience
  • Experience in backend or full‑stack development
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., CockroachDB)
  • Experience with the technology stack: Go, Kubernetes, Kafka, Python, AWS, PHP
  • Familiarity with Clean Code principles, SOLID, and agile working methods
  • German language skills at C2 level and strong domain-specific English skills
  • You approach problems with a creative, structured, and results-oriented mindset
  • You are enthusiastic about new technologies and curious about the next challenge
  • Volunteer service with a voluntary fire brigade is an advantage
