About the role

  • Become familiar with the development process for our products (e.g., firefighter gas detection devices) and the methods used
  • Develop applications in C++ using the Qt framework and tools such as CLion, Squish and Qt Creator
  • Work with Java, JavaScript and TypeScript and frameworks such as Angular, Node.js and Spring, and use tools like Protractor, Jasmine, WebDriver, Cucumber, Karma, Spock, Docker, Microsoft Azure and IntelliJ for web and cloud development
  • Program in C, C++, Python and MATLAB and contribute to embedded development using µC/OS, Yocto Linux and tools such as CppUTest, Google Test and the IAR toolchain (implementation of firmware for microcontrollers and processors on custom-designed PCBs)

Requirements

  • Enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technical Computer Science, Communications Engineering or a comparable degree program, at least in the 4th semester
  • Ideally some initial experience in object-oriented programming, web and app development, embedded programming, measurement technology or algorithm development
  • Good English skills and experience with MS Office are desirable
  • Passionate about coding and enjoy software development
  • Independent, solution-oriented working style and commitment to implementing your own ideas
