About the role

  • Participate in software projects (incident reporting system and Smart Rescue) to develop IT solutions for our customers in the fire service sector
  • Assist in the design and implementation of backend services and interfaces
  • Operate and maintain systems, including monitoring
  • Technically evaluate customer requirements within projects
  • Define the technology roadmap as part of product development

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics, or completed vocational training as an IT specialist with additional specialized further training and several years of professional experience
  • Experience in backend or full‑stack development
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., CockroachDB)
  • Experience with the technology stack: Go, Kubernetes, Kafka, Python, AWS, PHP
  • Experience with Clean Code principles, SOLID, and agile working methods
  • German language skills at C2 level and confident technical English skills
  • You approach problems creatively, in a structured and results‑oriented manner
  • Volunteer involvement in the fire department is an advantage
