About the role
- Operate and further develop the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool, including automating workflows and reports to increase efficiency
- Advise internal customers on Software Asset Management and support license inventories and audits
- Analyze license usage and identify cost-saving and optimization opportunities
- Manage the SAP license portfolio, including ensuring correct license measurement, assigning licenses, and coordinating license purchase activities
- Advise SAP-using IT areas/products—especially on selecting appropriate licensing models, optimizing license costs and inventory, and defining requirements for new SAP contracts
- Support Service Managers in planning, administering, and charging license and maintenance fees
Requirements
- Completed 2‑year technical college qualification or at least a 3‑year vocational training, plus additional specialized training, or equivalent qualification obtained by other means
- Knowledge of SAM processes, ideally with experience in implementing, operating, and improving SAM tools
- Experience automating workflows and reports, e.g. with Power Automate, scripting, or comparable tools
- Ability to analyze license usage and identify potential savings
- Preferably experience in managing SAP licenses, including license measurement with the License Administration Workbench (LAW) and knowledge of SAP licensing metrics and contract terms
- Enthusiastic about solving customer requirements, with a conscientious, results-oriented work style and an open, collaborative team-player attitude
