About the role
- Define technical product requirements based on market needs and internal and external standards
- Coordinate technical requirements between product management, internal development teams and external development partners, with a focus on the overall system functionality
- Develop technical concepts with attention to solution quality, practical usability and implementation costs
- Develop and maintain the system architecture for electronic systems that control pneumatic and mechanical components, including definition of hardware and software interfaces and safety concepts
- Plan, conduct and evaluate prototype tests
- Monitor technology trends and perform patent assessments
Requirements
- Degree in a technical discipline, e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Medical Technology
- Professional experience in product development within the medical technology field, or experience in product development combined with a medical background
- Strong comprehension and solid understanding of complex interactions between mechanics, pneumatics and electronics, combined with analytical and abstraction skills
- Experience in developing system architectures for embedded systems and in electronics development is an advantage
- Familiarity with requirements management systems—ideally IBM Rational DOORS—and other version control systems is desirable
- An independent, systematic working style characterizes you, and strong communication skills in German and English round off your profile
