About the role

  • Overseeing and managing projects from conceptual design through construction completion
  • Coordinating and supervising all aspects of the structural design process through completion of the construction administration phase
  • Mentoring and managing Structural Designers, Structural Design Engineers, and Structural Project Engineers
  • Managing the production of drawings, specifications, and calculations during a project’s design phase life cycle
  • Reviewing deliverables to ensure the scope and quality standards are met throughout the project's life cycle
  • Managing project design meetings to achieve project objectives
  • Collaborating with external stakeholders such as architects and contractors

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a Structural focus
  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred
  • Have Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred
  • Eight years of experience working in the building structural engineering field
  • At least five years of experience related to CFS design
  • In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, and standards
  • The ability to act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the company for CFS framing
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in structural engineering and project management
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and executing projects from start to finish
