About the role
- Overseeing the technical aspects of engineering projects
- Lead and guide the engineering team
- Establish and implement engineering procedures
- Drive technological advancements
- Provide technical expertise to resolve complex issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize engineering processes
- Mentor and manage Structural Designers I, Structural Designers II, Structural Design Engineers, and Structural Project Engineers
- Assist in the management and production of drawings, specifications, and calculations during a project’s design phase life cycle
- Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure accuracy of engineering deliverables
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), offering technical support, resolving complex engineering issues
- Develop and implement company engineering procedures and best practices
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a Structural focus
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred
- Have Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred
- Eight years of experience working in the building structural engineering field
- In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, and standards
- Familiarity with structural design and analysis, materials, and construction techniques
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in structural engineering and project management, such as computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and assist in management of multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and ensure timely project completion.
