About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and machine learning engineers to develop pipelines and ETL tasks in order to facilitate the extraction of insights.
Establish data architecture processes and practices that can be scheduled, automated, replicated and serve as standards for other teams to leverage.
Inform data team strategy by working with the product leaders and managers.
Actively participate in execution and some planning of organizational data team strategy.
Collaborate with Doximity’s Data Leadership team to ensure alignment and success across the entire Data Organization.
Manage individual Data Engineers to foster learning, growth and success at Doximity.

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 5 years of industry experience as a data engineer or similar role.
Experienced in creating automated testing, applying design patterns, and other engineering best practices.
Expert in Python and possess fluency in SQL and have developed maintainable data pipelines with each.
Experience managing 3 or more people whereby you were accountable for their growth and success as individuals and team members.
Excel at communicating to both technical and non-technical people, with an ability to explain complex concepts simply.
Able to contribute individually, balancing priorities between being a player and a coach.
Have led several projects, from idea generation to planning, execution, through delivering.
Working knowledge of how ML/AI applications are deployed and monitored.
