About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collect and analyze spot market price transactions from industry participants
- Verify the legitimacy of the transactions and adhere to DJE pricing methodology to create daily price assessments
- Generate breaking and feature news alerts on carbon markets, clean energy and environmental sustainability initiatives and legislation that impacts pricing
- Research and report on new developments in carbon policies and programs
- Contribute to social media content, blog postings, industry analysis and publish reports
- Network and develop sources in the carbon industry
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3 years journalism or market analysis experience, preferably in the environmental, commodities, or financial sector
- Price reporting experience covering carbon markets (cap-and-trade/cap-and-invest/voluntary)
- Experience breaking down complex regulatory and market issues into accurate and easily understood content
- Developed sources and actively engaged with market contacts and stakeholders
- Analyzed data and market drivers quickly with the use of Excel and spreadsheets
- Bachelor’s degree -or- equivalent work experience
