About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Champion a culture of exceptional client engagement within your assigned accounts
  • Build deep, trusted relationships with key contacts and influential stakeholders, ensuring customers consistently realize the strategic value of the Dow Jones Energy portfolio
  • Drive cohesion across teams and functions to ensure clients receive a seamless, consistent experience
  • Work in close partnership with Commercial Managers to identify and pursue growth opportunities within the account base, including whitespace, cross-sell, upsell, and strategic account expansion
  • Translate client insights and market knowledge into actionable commercial strategies
  • Ensure clients are supported through the full commercial lifecycle — from onboarding & adoption through retention & renewal
  • Build and maintain engagement plans that drive usage, deepen relationships, and maximize the value of enterprise-wide licenses
  • Conduct continuous, investigative dialogue with customers to understand their business priorities, surface unrecognized needs, and channel actionable feedback to Product and Editorial teams
  • Maintain accurate and current visibility into account health, renewal risk, and expansion opportunities
  • Build and sustain meaningful partnerships with key accounts and influential entities across the region, acting as a trusted advisor embedded within the client's business and representing Dow Jones Energy at senior levels

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 12 years’ experience in relationship management, account management, or commercial roles within financial data, energy markets, or B2B information services
  • A genuine passion for client engagement and a track record of building long-term, growth-oriented partnerships
  • The cross-functional leadership experience necessary for bringing people together and aligning competing priorities to achieve shared goals
  • Analyzing and interpreting usage data, account trends, and market signals to inform client strategy
  • Experience identifying expansion opportunities and translating client insights into actionable commercial recommendations
  • Ability to translate complex product capabilities into clear value propositions, and build credibility at every level a client’s organization
  • Proven experience engaging directly with internal and external c-suite stakeholders
  • A genuine curiosity about how AI integration is transforming the workflows, data consumption habits, and commercial decision-making of energy market participants
  • Experienced with Salesforce (preferable) and/or other CRM platforms
