About the role
- Own and enhance DoorDash’s global crisis management and resilience governance framework.
- Integrate governance, intelligence, and technology into a unified system.
- Design and lead enterprise-level crisis simulations, after-action reviews, and escalation protocols.
- Partner with Engineering, Tech Ops, and the Global Operations Center (GOC) to automate escalation thresholds, dashboards, and decision workflows.
- Maintain crisis activation authority during leadership absence.
- Work closely with Risk Intelligence, Global Operations Center (GOC), Corporate Safety, Legal, and Communications to align data, foresight, and crisis response.
- Integrate continuity and governance standards into new markets, verticals, and regulated environments as DoorDash continues global expansion.
- Lead under pressure with clarity, calm, and authority.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in crisis management, business continuity, or resilience operations within a global or high-growth enterprise.
- Proven ability to lead under ambiguity, make rapid, informed decisions, and drive enterprise-wide alignment in critical moments.
- Deep understanding of enterprise crisis frameworks, escalation authority, and data-driven decision governance.
- Experience with crisis and continuity platforms and familiarity with AI or automation tools that enhance resilience operations.
- Demonstrated ability to align senior stakeholders across Legal, Communications, Operations, and Technology functions.
- Experience building and testing playbooks, exercises, and escalation processes that deliver measurable improvements in readiness and response.
- Strong executive presence, structured communication, and disciplined judgment during complex, high-visibility crises.
- A mindset that leverages lessons learned, data, and foresight to continually evolve enterprise resilience maturity.
- Bachelor’s degree in business continuity, emergency management, or a related discipline required; advanced degree or certification (CBCP, ISO 22301, or equivalent) preferred.
