About the role

  • Responsibility for overall accounting and financial reporting under HGB (Handelsgesetzbuch/German Commercial Code)
  • Provide expert advice and support to our clients on all matters of VAT (value-added tax) law
  • Independently prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
  • Proactively communicate financial insights and recommendations to our clients
  • Implement and optimize financial processes and quickly adapt to new tools and systems
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of the Handelsgesetzbuch (HGB/German Commercial Code) and a strong understanding of VAT law
  • Experience in accounting, complemented by strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently of specific tools and to quickly adapt to new systems (e.g., DATEV, SAP, Navision/Dynamics)
  • Experience in the start-up environment and a proactive, solution-oriented working approach
  • A consulting mindset that considers both the numbers and the company’s strategic direction
