About the role

  • As a Grant Writer, you take professional responsibility for complex grant applications in the nonprofit sector.
  • You work in a structured way, use digital and AI-supported workflows, and ensure that applications are logically structured, compliant with funder requirements, and substantively persuasive.
  • You collaborate closely with clients, internal teams and our platform, and actively contribute your experience to standards and processes.
  • Analyze and assess funding programmes at EU, federal and state levels for nonprofit organisations.
  • Interpret funding logics, requirements and formal prerequisites.
  • Develop complete application packages including project logic, measures, objectives, KPIs and budget justification.
  • Ensure compliance with funding guidelines and terms and conditions.
  • Advise nonprofit organisations on structuring and refining their project ideas.
  • Use the AntragPlus platform for research, structuring, text production and documentation.
  • Prepare and review interim and expenditure reports.
  • Perform quality assurance across several parallel projects.
  • Further develop templates, standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical review and support for less experienced colleagues.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in fundraising and grant writing in the nonprofit sector
  • Knowledge of EU funding programmes as well as federal and state funding
  • Excellent written German
  • Strong understanding of funding logic, application structures and evaluation mechanics
  • Experience with expenditure reporting and project-related financial controlling
  • Ability to manage multiple complex applications in parallel, in a structured manner
  • Clear, professional communication when working with nonprofit organisations
  • Openness to digital processes and AI-supported workflows
  • High standards for quality, self-responsibility and reliability
