About the role
- Drive operational excellence by instilling a continuous improvement mindset
- Collaborate with every level in the Mill
- Track cost savings and coordinate with the Corporate CI team
- Identify and eliminate waste using lean tools
- Develop annual cost reduction targets and drive the cost reduction process
- Collaborate with the Corporate CI team and ensure corporate initiatives are properly implemented at the mill level
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Pulp and Paper Science or Chemical Engineering, preferred); equivalent experience may be considered
- Five (5) years of previous manufacturing leadership experience, preferred superintendent level or above
- 6 Sigma certification minimum green belt, with black belt preferred
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the mill
- High degree of collaboration with mill leadership
- Ability to prioritize time and multi-task
