About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements for implementing new projects and supporting medium- and high-complexity systems, participating in meetings with requestors and other stakeholders;
Perform data modeling for high-complexity projects, defining required information and appropriate storage repositories, and support other analysts with questions about this activity to ensure the integrity and availability of the data required for the proposed solution to function;
Contribute to defining the architecture and solution proposal by analyzing, detailing, and specifying the programs and components that will be part of the solution;
Lead testing and acceptance processes by creating test and acceptance plans, executing and tracking unit tests, load tests, integration tests, and supporting user acceptance;
Plan and monitor deployment processes through risk analysis, development of contingency and rollback plans, and identification of activities, responsible parties, and schedules for deploying solutions to production environments;
Identify and implement workarounds and permanent fixes for problems by handling requests, incident tasks, and occurrences, proposing improvements and corrections;
Support business areas and other system development teams in feasibility and budgeting analyses by proposing solutions and assessing impact and effort.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience developing COBOL/CICS/DB2 applications and COBOL batch jobs;
Knowledge of security, authentication, and version control;
Ability to elicit functional and non-functional requirements;
Experience optimizing and querying DB2 databases.
Will be a plus if you have experience with:
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and infrastructure;
DevOps pipelines and toolchains;
.NET (C#);
SQL Server;
Agile methodologies;
Banking systems;
Systems architecture;
Experience integrating and modernizing legacy systems and microservices;
Intermediate English.
