About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Leads maintenance teams to restore and stabilize distressed properties
Oversees the physical rehabilitation of communities
Develops and executes comprehensive maintenance plans
Working closely with the Property Operations Specialist
Takes a proactive, hands-on approach to daily operations
Ensures systems function efficiently
Identifies and resolves maintenance issues promptly
Completes distressed unit turnovers
Maintains inventory levels and procure maintenance supplies
Obtains bids for maintenance work
Trains maintenance staff in preventive maintenance procedures
Ensures compliance with safety procedures and emergency protocols

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent required
CRMT (Certified Residential Maintenance Technician) preferred
Minimum of 3 years of full-time maintenance experience required
Universal Freon Recovery Certification (EPA 608) required
Valid driver’s license, ability to drive, and proof of insurance required
Ability to safely and effectively use hand and power tools
General knowledge of building codes and laws applicable to the community
Basic computer proficiency required
Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Yardi preferred
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both orally and in writing
Demonstrates sound judgment and common sense in day-to-day situations
