About the role

  • Own the delivery, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of Shopify websites
  • Lead the engineering team through all phases of implementation, including frontend architecture, code review, integrations, and releases
  • Provide design feedback to ensure projects stay within scope based on the capabilities of the codebase
  • Lead discovery workshops, educating clients on Shopify best practices, and recommending scalable, future-ready solutions
  • Collaborate across departments and with technology partners to ensure high-quality, efficient, and impactful outcomes

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience working in eCommerce
  • Good understanding of user behaviors and marketing/CRO sciences
  • Expert understanding of the liquid templating language and key concepts including theme architecture, layout, templates, sections, and blocks
  • Experience building with metafields and metaobjects
  • Deep understanding of localization and internationalization best practices
  • Experience using various AJAX APIs, including the Product Recommendations API, Predictive Search API, Cart API, and Section Rendering API
  • Experience using the Storefront and Admin APIs
  • Expert understanding of Server Side, Client Side, and Static rendering architectures
  • DOM manipulation and event handling
  • Debugging and maintaining legacy JavaScript patterns
  • Experience with native web components
