• own our engineering platform end to end
• partner closely with data science and machine learning to build and scale the real time decision engine
• lead a team of 10+ engineers based in the Bay Area
• report directly to the CEO
• measure success by how much faster, more reliable, and automated processes become
• replace manual, paper based review processes with software by ingesting messy public records, documents, and outside data
• apply proprietary risk models built on 100,000+ policies
• ship a production system already approved by Fannie Mae and live in real mortgage transactions

Vice President, Engineering

Platform Engineer

• Design and implement end-to-end data architecture including application CDC, streaming, schema design, transformation, warehouse/mart modeling, and consumption-readiness with IaC and automation-first delivery.
• Build resilient multi-region database and replication topologies with automated failover and DR.
• Architect streaming pipelines with correctness, replayability, and schema evolution as first-class concerns.
• Model, document, and catalog marts for downstream self-service analytics and customer-facing consumption.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and data-quality observability across data platform services.
• Own PII classification, lineage, access controls, and encryption in partnership with Security.
• Mentor engineers and set architectural standards across data platform craft.
• Treat compute and storage spend as a design input.
