About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and grow a team responsible for building and scaling SELECT, DoiT's cloud cost management platform.
- Play a key role in shaping the product roadmap, technical strategy and growth of the engineering organization.
- Partner with engineers to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable products across our application, data platform, and infrastructure.
- Drive engineering excellence through strong development practices, code quality standards, observability, reliability, and operational maturity.
- Conduct performance management, goal setting, growth planning, and regular one-on-one meetings.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including experience building and operating production systems.
- 2+ years of engineering leadership or management experience leading software engineering teams.
- Strong technical background in backend engineering, data modelling and data-intensive systems.
- Experience working with technologies such as Python, FastAPI, Postgres, dbt, Dagster, Snowflake, or similar modern data platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to lead architectural discussions and influence technical direction without being the primary individual contributor.
- Experience partnering with Product and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver customer-focused outcomes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage engineers, executives, and business stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly collaborative environment.
