About the role

  • Develop and implement consumer marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition (lead gen), retention, and loyalty across all franchise locations
  • Create and manage integrated campaigns across multiple channels (email, social media, digital, paid advertising, and more)
  • Manage external agency initiatives and day-to-day including PR and digital marketing firm as well as internal marketing team members
  • Partner with franchise owners to understand local market dynamics, tailoring marketing programs for their unique needs
  • Analyze national advertising efforts to maximize impact and ROI
  • Design, launch, and optimize loyalty programs and consumer advocacy initiatives
  • Write marketing content and ensure consistent brand voice across all channels
  • Lead marketing initiatives for franchise growth – new franchisee acquisition
  • Conduct digital audits and recommend new strategies, initiatives, and tools to keep Dogtopia ahead of industry best practices
  • Analyze consumer data and behavior to identify opportunities for personalization, segmentation, and improved performance
  • Monitor and report on KPIs such as lead generation, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, retention rate, and lifetime value
  • Collaborate with external agencies, operations, sales, and product development teams to ensure alignment in brand messaging and customer experience
  • Support both Dogtopia and the Dogtopia Foundation marketing initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in consumer marketing, preferably in a franchise or multi-location retail/services environment
  • Strong expertise in customer acquisition, segmentation, targeting, personalization, and loyalty strategies
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable results through multi-channel campaigns
  • Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, analytics tools, and digital advertising (Salesforce and WordPress experience a plus)
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly detail-oriented, with excellent project management and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort with public speaking and guiding teams and franchise owners
  • Passion for dogs and the pet industry is a huge plus!
