About the role
- Support the establishment and closure of legal entities where required for projects.
- Engage with internal tax, tender and project teams to develop and maintain project compliance plans.
- Work with operational managers and support functions such as Cost Control, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable and Payroll to deliver country-specific project compliance requirements.
- Liaise with local tax advisors to ensure completion of:
- - Monthly tax filings and payments
- - Annual financial statements and tax filings
- Provide project compliance support on larger projects in collaboration with the Compliance Lead.
- Identify, report and manage project compliance risks.
- Create, prepare and update country-specific compliance documentation.
- Capture and document lessons learned to improve future compliance processes.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Provide ad-hoc compliance support across functions as required.
- Assist with other business activities relevant to the role.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
- Currently working towards, or interested in pursuing, a professional finance qualification.
- Graduate with placement experience or 1–2 years’ experience in accounting, finance or compliance.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan, execute and follow up on tasks.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external advisors.
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
