Design, build, and implement AI-driven applications utilizing Python for back-end services
Utilize VA Design Systems to integrate user-facing elements developed in React or similar frameworks
Develop ML/AI models and apply machine learning methodologies to clinical problems
Write high-quality, maintainable code and contribute to system architecture and design discussions
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing, supporting continuous improvement
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technological solutions that enhance user experiences
Analyze and resolve performance issues, ensuring optimized applications that meet high standards of reliability and scalability
Stay up-to-date with the latest AI advancements and emerging technologies relevant to the healthcare domain
Document development processes and maintain detailed records for internal use
Design, code, test, and deploy AI solutions into the Department of Veteran Affairs

5+ years of experience in full stack development, with a focus on Python
Strong background in AI and machine learning technologies and methodologies
Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and developing scalable applications
Experience with front-end technologies, such as React, or similar frameworks
Familiarity with database management systems such as relational databases
Experience with vector and graph databases are a plus
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams
Understanding of healthcare technology and the integration of AI solutions in clinical settings is a plus
