Ocean Import Analyst
DMS LOGISTICSDMS Logistics managing ocean import processes and customer care operations. Coordinating with agents and ensuring compliance in logistics design.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- End-to-end management of import processes, ensuring compliance and adherence to deadlines;
- Coordination with agents, co-loaders and suppliers, including bookings and cargo pickups;
- Operational follow-up (cut-offs, clearance at origin, approvals and restrictions);
- Documentation validation (Invoice, Packing List, HBL/MBL, certificates, etc.);
- Financial control of the process (cost validation, issuance of Debit Notes);
- Monitoring of operational KPIs (SLA, productivity, backlog);
- Interface with internal departments and support to the team (juniors and interns).
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree (completed);
- Intermediate to advanced English – will be tested;
- Experience in ocean import and end-to-end operations;
- Experience coordinating shipments and liaising with agents and suppliers;
- Experience with special cargoes (IMO/hazardous, reefer, OOG, breakbulk);
- Knowledge of Incoterms and document analysis (HBL/MBL, Invoice, Packing List, SI, etc.);
- Experience in cost validation (freight, fees, Debit/Credit Notes);
- German or Mandarin - a plus.
