About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive the delivery of a School-Based Services Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Serve as the technical lead for the EHR product
Translate business needs into technically feasible product direction
Provide direction on infrastructure, platform decisions, and system architecture
Coordinate across DVHA, ADS, AOE, school districts, and EHR vendors
Lead and oversee data migration and system integrations/interfaces
Ensure a structured release management process
Drive and refine Agile and hybrid delivery practices across teams
Research industry trends, EHR best practices, and market capabilities
Communicate technical debt, risks, and trade-offs clearly to executive stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

8–12+ years in Product Management, Technical Product Management, or Technology Delivery
Experience leading EHR / EMR implementations or healthcare IT systems
Proven success in large-scale system implementations (public sector preferred)
Experience managing vendor-driven delivery environments
Strong understanding of EHR platforms and healthcare data workflows
System integration, APIs, and interoperability
Data migration strategies and execution
Experience with Agile / hybrid delivery models
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Experience with state Medicaid, public health, or education systems
Familiarity with HIPAA and health data compliance environments
Background in multi-organization implementations (state + vendor + local entities)
