About the role

  • Provide advanced technical support and engineering assistance for TSA’s enterprise network infrastructure
  • Deliver expert-level troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization services across LAN/WAN, campus networking, wireless systems, and cloud connectivity environments
  • Work alongside network architects and O&M contractor to resolve complex network performance and reliability issues
  • Support the implementation and validation of new network capabilities
  • Contribute to the development of network standards and operational procedures
  • Play a critical role in ensuring TSA’s network environment meets availability and performance requirements of a 24x7x365 mission-critical operation
  • Provide Tier 2/3 network troubleshooting support during engineering deployments and transition periods
  • Conduct network health assessments and performance analyses
  • Develop configuration documentation and operational runbooks for implemented network solutions
  • Support cutover planning and execution for network upgrades and migrations
  • Participate in 14-day operational testing periods following transitions
  • Provide technical input to lifecycle replacement assessments for aging network equipment
  • Coordinate closely with TSA’s O&M contractor for seamless knowledge transfer and operational readiness

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 years of enterprise network support and engineering experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in routing and switching, network diagnostics, wireless systems, and enterprise network management tools
  • Experience supporting federal network environments governed by DHS cybersecurity standards (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP or equivalent (valued)
  • Must be U.S. citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents
  • Ability to obtain TSA fitness determination and PIV card access
  • Available to support after-hours network maintenance and deployment activities
  • Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or clearance
