About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Diagnose, inspect and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, fuel, and brake systems
  • Complete safety campaigns, and PDI new and existing equipment
  • Assess down tools, order parts, complete repairs, and update leadership on critical timelines
  • Maintain GPS and track asset moves between locations and job sites
  • Maintain accurate drivers log, inspections, and provincial transportation compliance
  • Train and support rental associates and mobile service technicians on Large Equipment procedures and routine maintenance standards
  • Act as the escalation contact and deliver job-site support within 24 hours

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 2 years in heavy equipment, light industrial, or gas mechanical systems
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license, clean record, and tandem-axle towing experience
  • Skilled in complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostics and repairs
  • Able to read repair manuals, schematics, and parts guides
  • Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and diagnostic apps
  • Must provide standard hand/trade tools
  • Lift up to 50 lbs; bend, kneel, crawl, and climb onto equipment as needed
  • Work outdoors in Canadian weather with exposure to noise, fumes, dirt, and grease
  • Live within 25 km of the target location or be willing to commute
