About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leads the strategy, administration, and compliance of DMA’s employee benefits programs across the U.S. and Canada
  • Oversees health, dental, vision, voluntary benefits, leave of absence programs, and retirement plans including 401(k) and ESOP
  • Ensures regulatory compliance, vendor performance, and employee engagement while contributing to total rewards offerings
  • Designs, implements, and manages benefit programs, policies, and procedures
  • Administers benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, voluntary benefits, and retirement (401(k), ESOP)
  • Conducts individual benefit meetings with new hires and provides guidance on enrollment and plan options
  • Oversees new hire enrollment, mid-year changes, and benefit terminations
  • Manages leave of absence programs including FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, workers’ compensation, and other statutory and company leaves
  • Reconciles insurance invoices and payments; resolves discrepancies with vendors
  • Leads annual open enrollment including system setup, communications, and vendor coordination
  • Administers workers’ compensation claims and coordinates with payroll and finance for reporting and invoicing
  • Maintains benefits data in HRIS (Workday preferred); ensures data integrity and audit readiness
  • Prepares and analyzes benefits-related reports and metrics; provides insights to leadership
  • Collaborates with payroll, HR, and finance teams to ensure accurate deductions and data flow

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in benefits administration, including retirement plan oversight
  • Advanced knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and HRIS systems (Workday or UKG preferred)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information and lead cross-functional coordination
  • Experience with vendor management and benefits reconciliation
  • CEBS, SHRM-CP, or other benefits-related certification preferred
