About the role
- Supervising the daily activities of the team
- Training staff
- Setting schedules and assigning clients
- Ensuring timely, accurate, and complete processing and submission of client work
- Reviewing monthly returns prepared by team members and signing returns on behalf of clients
- Documenting filing/reporting errors and communicating inconsistencies
- Setting priorities for team members on a monthly basis
- Advising clients regarding monthly funding and tax payment requirements
- Initiating client billings for compliance services
- Identifying improvements for internal processes and efficiencies
- Providing leadership, direction, and guidance to coach and motivate team members
- Participating in the talent acquisition process for the team
- Ensuring analysts adhere to customized processing procedures for clients
- Assisting in workload allocation and client assignments to team members
- Maintaining client relationships and ensuring timely reporting of monthly tax information
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 5-7 years’ experience with prior experience as a Senior Compliance Analyst with DMA or in a similar position in the tax/accounting industry
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of the laws and regulations related to the property tax compliance practice
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Superior verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff
- Proficient in the use of property tax software
