About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Undertake detailed financial analysis and modelling for new and existing clients operating across key sectors such as Agriculture, Construction, Transport, Industrial, Healthcare, Energy Transition, Office equipment and Tech Finance.
- Undertake business performance assessment considering seasonality, commodity price volatility, weather and biological risk, and working‑capital‑driven cash flow cycles for livestock & agricultural inputs customers.
- Liaise with all back‑office functions, sales/account management, credit and risk management, legal, and asset management teams, together with relevant third parties.
- Collect customer and vendor information using applicable systems and procedures, assessing completeness, accuracy, and recency.
- Analyse risk across financial, asset, market, security, legal, contractual, and commodity exposure dimensions, including reassessment and re‑rating of customers, end users, livestock counterparties, and vendors/dealers.
- Write high‑quality, well‑structured credit application reports; decide on end‑user credit applications and vendor/dealer agreements within delegated authority; make sound recommendations and present submissions to higher credit decisioning authorities, including local and global Credit Committees.
- Prepare, advise, and participate in Local Credit Committees, contributing to robust decision‑making within delegated authority levels.
- Monitor portfolio performance and credit/risk profiles in alignment with corporate and external policies, regulatory requirements, and sales mandates.
- Contribute to the development of local credit and risk management policies, regulations and guidelines.
- Provide information, training, and support to front‑ and back‑office stakeholders to ensure strong alignment on credit policy, livestock and input‑specific risks, and decisioning standards.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in accounting, finance, commerce, agribusiness, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in asset / equipment finance, agribusiness finance, or corporate credit, with a demonstrated Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) of at least AUD 1.5 million.
- A deeper understanding of livestock production (cattle, sheep, dairy), livestock trading and processing, and agricultural input sectors including feed, fertiliser, seed, chemicals, and animal health is mandatory.
- Advanced financial analysis and modelling capability, including cash flow forecasting and stress testing.
- Understanding of vendor‑based and dealer‑based finance partnerships, balancing strategic commercial objectives with disciplined risk management.
- Strong understanding of documentation, security structures, and legal processes, including expert‑level knowledge and application of PPSR, with exposure to agribusiness collateral considered highly desirable.
