About the role

  • Take responsibility for month-end and year-end closing activities (local GAAP)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards (local GAAP and IFRS)
  • Ensure monitoring and documentation of internal controls (RCF)
  • Oversee bank operations for all DACH entities
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
  • Ensure effective use of accounting software and other financial tools
  • Communicate with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
  • Participate in a variety of cross-functional projects

Requirements

  • Excellent technical data analysis skills
  • Solid accounting expertise with a strong understanding of German GAAP and IFRS
  • Initial leadership experience; 5–8 years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least 3 years in a senior role
  • Proficiency with accounting software (preferably ORACLE) and MS Office applications
  • Strong team leadership skills
  • Reconciliation and coordination skills, high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Project management experience
  • Hands-on, proactive mindset
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
