About the role
- Data protection law: Identifying, assessing and addressing data protection legal issues, particularly in connection with trade fair organization, sales, customer management and marketing activities
- Analysis and legal assessment of AI applications with regard to data protection and compliance, and derivation of resulting implementation measures
- Close cooperation with internal and external data protection officers of the DLG group and coordination of data protection-related matters with executive management
- General legal tasks: Support on all legal issues within the DLG group of companies
- Legal advice to business units, particularly in employment law as well as general civil and commercial law
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts
- Coordinating cooperation with external law firms
Requirements
- Completed degree with a legal focus (e.g., First State Examination in Law, LL.B/LL.M. in Business Law, Law and Management, Compliance, or equivalent qualifications)
- In-depth knowledge of data protection and employment law
- Experience designing and implementing data protection processes and developing and maintaining a compliance management system
- Basic knowledge of, or interest in, legal issues related to AI and automated data processing
- Solid knowledge of civil and commercial law
- Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts
- Strong communication and coordination skills and a high degree of responsibility
