About the role
- Responsibility for the strategic development of the corporate group both domestically and internationally
- Definition, management and monitoring of the company’s long-term direction
- Identification of new opportunities in dynamic markets and development of the company as a global platform provider
- Management responsibility for DLG Markets’ domestic and international subsidiaries with a focus on profitability and sustainable development of the core business
- Development and implementation of the corporate strategy at group level
- Initiation and management of transformation projects (digitalization, sustainability, etc.)
- Establishment and strategic oversight of foreign subsidiaries and international events
- Evaluation and implementation of joint ventures and partnerships
- Overall responsibility for the financial management and strategic development of DLG Markets’ domestic and international subsidiaries
- Leadership of company-wide strategic special projects and change initiatives
- Scouting and appraisal of acquisition targets and equity investments
- Preparation and presentation of business cases to executive management
- Support for board/committee work and strategic communication at top management level
- Shaping the company’s strategic brand positioning
Requirements
- Completed degree in a business-related discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, International Management) — ideally with an MBA or equivalent international qualification
- Several years of experience in a strategic leadership role in investment/portfolio management, corporate strategy or business development
- Deep understanding of business management, financial metrics and operational corporate governance
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills and a structured working style
- International experience and intercultural competence
- Business-fluent German and English
- Confident presence, strong communication skills and diplomatic finesse in dealings with diverse stakeholders
- High willingness to travel and enthusiasm for international, intercultural collaboration (approx. 30–40% travel)
