About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supports DLB’s mission critical projects with a primary focus on building automation systems (BAS), PMS (Power Management System), controls integration, and smart building solutions
- Provides technical and project leadership for the planning, and design of BAS/PMS and integrated control systems
- Collaborates closely with outsource partners, MEP design engineers, construction contractors, equipment vendors, software engineers, project managers, and client representatives
- Oversees subconsultant scopes of work, including the development, review, and coordination of Statements of Objectives (SOO), construction drawings, and technical specifications
- Develops, documents, and maintains BAS and EPMS production standards in conjunction with the BIM team
- Works closely with project management team and interacts closely with engineering team
- Performs Onsite BAS Engineering Reviews such as audits and feasibility studies
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.A. / B.S. degree in Engineering, construction or related disciplines
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in BAS controls systems engineering
- Knowledge of open-source protocols (BACnet, Modbus and SNMP)
- Knowledge of IoT and smart building solutions
- Knowledge of typical data center control redundancy strategies
- Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction mission critical, commercial buildings, or other structures
- Skilled at using Revit and autoCAD
- Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation
