About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supports DLB’s mission critical projects with a primary focus on building automation systems (BAS), PMS (Power Management System), controls integration, and smart building solutions
Provides technical and project leadership for the planning, and design of BAS/PMS and integrated control systems
Collaborates closely with outsource partners, MEP design engineers, construction contractors, equipment vendors, software engineers, project managers, and client representatives
Oversees subconsultant scopes of work, including the development, review, and coordination of Statements of Objectives (SOO), construction drawings, and technical specifications
Develops, documents, and maintains BAS and EPMS production standards in conjunction with the BIM team
Works closely with project management team and interacts closely with engineering team
Performs Onsite BAS Engineering Reviews such as audits and feasibility studies

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.A. / B.S. degree in Engineering, construction or related disciplines
Minimum of 5 years of experience in BAS controls systems engineering
Knowledge of open-source protocols (BACnet, Modbus and SNMP)
Knowledge of IoT and smart building solutions
Knowledge of typical data center control redundancy strategies
Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction mission critical, commercial buildings, or other structures
Skilled at using Revit and autoCAD
Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation
