About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic leadership for a Division within DLB's Design Department
  • Oversee multiple engineering disciplines, leadership teams, client programs, and operational initiatives
  • Establish the Division's long-term vision and drive operational excellence
  • Develop organizational strategy and ensure successful execution of business objectives
  • Collaborate with Executive Directors, Directors, Associate Directors, and peer Division Directors
  • Lead change management initiatives and foster a high-performing, collaborative culture

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.A. / B.S. degree in engineering, construction or related discipline
  • Minimum of 15 years of industry related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership or management level position, with a demonstrated record of people leadership in previous roles
  • Strategic planning, organizational leadership, and divisional operations
  • Budget development, financial planning, resource forecasting, and capital planning
  • Building and maintaining executive-level client relationships and driving business development initiatives
  • Leading organizational change and developing high-performing teams
  • Cross-functional collaboration and influencing decisions across multiple business units
  • Developing operational policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strategic decision-making using data analytics, forecasting, and performance metrics
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to establish divisional objectives, staffing strategies, succession plans, and long-range operational goals
  • Experience utilizing business technology platforms, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), and engineering technology ecosystems to support operational excellence
  • Ability to analyze complex business challenges, develop strategic solutions, and execute organizational initiatives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work successfully in a remote environment through effective communication, self-motivation, proactiveness, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, employees, clients, and external stakeholders
