About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The BIM Associate Director - Mechanical Focus will regularly interact with Senior Directors, Directors, other Associate Directors, and Exec Team on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
- This person is responsible for strategic direction, quality assurance, and execution within all mechanical BIM operations across the Design Department.
- This role works closely with other discipline BIM leaders, and the Executive Team to develop, refine, and execute BIM standards, technology strategies, and delivery workflows that advance the firm’s digital design and coordination capabilities.
- The BIM Associate Director - Mechanical Focus oversees the performance, training, and growth of mechanical BIM users, ensuring that project execution aligns with DLB’s standards of technical accuracy, constructability, and client value.
- This individual plays a key role in cross-departmental collaboration, digital transformation initiatives, and project delivery excellence.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, architectural engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of thirteen (13) years of experience in mechanical design and BIM management.
- Demonstrated leadership in BIM implementation across multiple projects and teams.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent registration preferred.
- Autodesk Revit Professional Certification or equivalent experience required.
