About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the preparation and review of monthly management accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries and complete general ledger reconciliations
- Manage the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
- Lead the preparation and completion of monthly office bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations including GST
- Support the Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) process
- Support the external audit by providing detailed and accurate workpapers
- Prepare and distribute accurate financial reports
- Identify and implement process improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 1-2+ years' experience in a similar role within a legal or professional service environment
- Part-qualified or qualified CPA or CA preferable
- Advanced Excel and large data management skills desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
