About the role

  • Collection of receivables in accordance with the firm’s international credit policy to ensure achievement of both global and local cash collection targets
  • Maintain accurate and meaningful information in the system to correctly reflect current receivables for internal reporting
  • Identify and promptly resolve discrepancies in cooperation with internal and external clients, consistently following agreed escalation steps and levels
  • Ensure a high standard of client service
  • Collaborate with and support partners in all aspects of credit and receivables management to ensure the achievement of corporate and personal KPIs
  • Conduct detailed analysis of the receivables portfolio against targets and objectives for management, as required
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports
  • Support management with ad hoc tasks and/or team projects
  • Monitor the group mailbox and work within agreed guidelines
  • Provide training within the Credit Control team and assist with team leadership in coordination with the Billing & Collection Manager

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training or comparable qualification
  • Relevant experience in receivables management in a target-driven environment with the ability to proactively deliver results
  • Experience in an international law firm or professional services is desirable
  • Initial experience in team leadership is desirable
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with SAP or a bespoke receivables system is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Fluent German and strong English skills
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills
  • High commitment, flexibility, team spirit and a hands-on mentality
