About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the design of electronic security systems including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection solutions
- Develop system concepts, specifications, and requirements aligned to client needs and project scope
- Produce Bills of Materials (BOMs), estimates, and supporting documentation for proposals and projects
- Develop and support design deliverables including 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC drawings
- Provide technical coordination to support system architecture, installation, and integration activities
- Research, evaluate, and recommend security technologies and product solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design, engineering, and project delivery
- Support client engagement activities, including clarifying requirements and managing expectations
- Maintain project documentation and ensure alignment with design standards and requirements
- Provide guidance to junior team members and support issue resolution across projects
- Maintain knowledge of ESS technologies, industry trends, and best practices through ongoing training
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates degree required and/or equivalent experience
- Certifications or training with Milestone and Lenel preferred
- 5+ years of experience in technical systems design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, and MS Office 365
- Ability to obtain a government-issued Top Secret Clearance (US-based only)
- Clear understanding of project phases including program, conceptual design, etc.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, installation practices, and system integration
