About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, configure, and manage VMware ESXi hosts and vSphere environments.
- Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to VMware infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform for VM provisioning and infrastructure deployment.
- Create and manage Ansible playbooks for configuration management and automation tasks.
- Configure and manage SAN storage systems and fiber channel connectivity.
- Monitor storage performance, capacity, and implement optimization strategies.
- Perform capacity planning to ensure sufficient resources for current and future needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation and planned maintenance windows as required.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience writing and managing infrastructure as code and configuration management.
- Proven experience in administering vSphere environments.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise SAN storage systems.
- Experience with version control system (Git).
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
