About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the full lifecycle of federal contracts, including proposal support, negotiation, award, administration, and closeout
- Ensure compliance with FAR, agency-specific regulations, and contractual terms and conditions
- Oversee GSA Schedule maintenance, including modifications, product/service catalog updates, and required reporting
- Maintain internal controls, procedures, and risk management practices as Contracts Compliance Sponsor
- Track and manage CDRLs, ensuring timely delivery and documentation of required contract deliverables
- Review and verify proposal responses for contractual compliance before submission
- Review contract terms, identify risks, and provide recommendations to leadership and sales teams
- Advise senior management on federal contracting requirements, compliance obligations, and contractual strategies
- Track contract data, including financials, for project health monitoring and risk management
- Own the contract management backlog register and monitor regulatory changes
- Draft, review, and execute NDAs, teaming agreements, subcontracts, contract modifications, and other contractual documents
- Support dispute resolution related to contract interpretation, performance, or compliance
- Review teaming performance metrics for contract review
- Develop and deliver internal training on federal contracting compliance and best practices
- Establish, update, and enforce SOPs consistent with company policies and processes
- Respond to government and internal inquiries, audits, and reporting requirements, including CPARS, sales reporting, and protests
- Implement and monitor quality-control and tracking mechanisms focused on financial, contractual, regulatory, and CDRL compliance
- Partner with business development and sales teams on contract requirements, pricing structures, and billing compliance
- Ensure proposal responses satisfy contractual and regulatory requirements before submission to government clients
- Collaborate with Government Contracting Officers, internal stakeholders, and external partners to support the federal IT portfolio
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong knowledge of federal contracting principles, including FAR, DFARS, GSA Schedule, and other contract vehicle management
- Previous negotiation experience on teaming agreements; familiarity with joint venture structures
- Working knowledge of standard cost models and Service Contract Act (SCA) work types
- Demonstrated experience with CDRL tracking and contract deliverable management
- Ability to assess proposal responses for contractual compliance prior to submission
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with government officials and senior leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced small business environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Adobe/PDF, Excel, and Word
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in federal contract management; GovCon experience required
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance if required
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and operate standard office equipment and computing devices
