About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all aspects of retirement plan administration for assigned clients
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, advisors, and CPAs
- Coordinate and manage annual data collection and processing cycles
- Collect, review, and analyze employee census data
- Perform eligibility, vesting, and contribution calculations
- Conduct compliance testing (ADP/ACP, nondiscrimination, top-heavy, coverage)
- Prepare government filings (Form 5500, 5330, and 8955)
- Perform trust accounting and asset reconciliation
- Identify discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary
- Process distributions, loans, and Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) (with review)
- Collaborate with actuaries for Defined Benefit or Cash Balance plans
- Maintain workflow tracking and meet strict deadlines
- Deliver professional, timely, and client-focused communication (mainly via email)
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience in pension administration or related field (preferred)
- Experience managing multiple client accounts (highly preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent written communication skills (email-focused role)
- Advanced English proficiency
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and accounting skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and multitask
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- College degree preferred
