About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage all aspects of retirement plan administration for assigned clients
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, advisors, and CPAs
  • Coordinate and manage annual data collection and processing cycles
  • Collect, review, and analyze employee census data
  • Perform eligibility, vesting, and contribution calculations
  • Conduct compliance testing (ADP/ACP, nondiscrimination, top-heavy, coverage)
  • Prepare government filings (Form 5500, 5330, and 8955)
  • Perform trust accounting and asset reconciliation
  • Identify discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary
  • Process distributions, loans, and Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) (with review)
  • Collaborate with actuaries for Defined Benefit or Cash Balance plans
  • Maintain workflow tracking and meet strict deadlines
  • Deliver professional, timely, and client-focused communication (mainly via email)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience in pension administration or related field (preferred)
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts (highly preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent written communication skills (email-focused role)
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and accounting skills
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and multitask
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • College degree preferred
