About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with Restaurant/Hotel Primary/Cyber Program Manager and Product Managers to develop and execute a detailed business plan to increase new business submissions and premium across all products.
- Engage with current and prospective commercial insurance brokers primarily via phone, email and virtual meetings.
- Meet in-person with brokers when appropriate based on current production and growth potential.
- Educate brokers on our underwriting appetite.
- Pre-qualify/triage new business submissions.
- Contribute product enhancement ideas to differentiate our products in the marketplace.
- Provide and manage market intel and competitor information.
- Coordinate business development activities with internal marketing team.
- Contribute ideas for marketing initiatives.
- Communicate broker feedback to our Program Management and Underwriting teams.
- Collaborate with other internal Sales teams and the Underwriting teams where appropriate for accounts which represent cross-sell opportunities outside of your assigned product portfolio.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3 years of insurance career experience with demonstrated success selling commercial P&C insurance products at a wholesale, MGA, or carrier level.
- Prior experience with insurance products targeting the hospitality industry (i.e., hotels, resorts, and restaurants) required.
- Working knowledge of retail agency and brokerage operations.
- Property/casualty broker’s license in state of domicile.
- Proficiency in using industry standard metrics for tracking insurance sales and distribution results.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable coverage, policy language, and risk management concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with particular emphasis on Excel.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM.
