Key responsibilities & impact

Lead Dispatch's product engineering teams
Own engineering execution end to end
Ensure team builds the right things in the right order
Drive engineering hiring end-to-end
Hire, onboard, and develop a growing team of engineers
Create a culture of high standards and ownership
Partner with staff engineers and tech leads for technical decisions
Work closely with Product and Design to triage and prioritize work
Own on-call posture, incident response process, and post-mortems

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years in software engineering
5+ years as an individual contributor engineer with high-quality system shipping
5+ years managing engineering teams
Proven track record of growing and scaling an engineering organization to 20–30+ engineers
Experience at an early-stage startup (Series B or earlier)
Player-Coach
High-Output Operator
Systems Builder
People Developer
Strong Cross-Functional Operator
Experience with leading fintech APIs (Plaid, Stripe, etc)
Experience founding or building something from scratch
Experience with AI prompting, models, and tools
