About the role

  • Manage a team that leads development of infrastructure systems, network releases, operational regulation enhancements, and network off-cycle projects
  • Define and implement a monitoring program for customer adherence to high-risk operational regulations
  • Identify regulatory enhancements required for international operating regulations and additional enhancement opportunities
  • Deliver management oversight for settlement risk remediation program for the international network and plan timely remediation
  • Develop and coach teams to identify, manage, escalate, and effectively manage risk
  • Translate business goals of projects and direct team in developing solutions that result in positive customer experiences
  • Manage team hiring, performance, coaching, and development decisions
  • Communicate project issues and achievements to business and management and interact with external customers to gather feedback
  • Plan, implement, and execute projects aligned to release cycles
  • Analyze and develop requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, and system interfaces
  • Travel up to 10% as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field OR related experience
  • Master's degree preferred in Information Technology, Networking, Payments, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Communications, or related
  • Cisco Industry Certification - CCNA or higher preferred
  • ITIL Foundations or related certification preferred
  • Experience in Networking, IT, Payments, Operations, Customer Service
  • Ability to manage and coach teams, including hiring, performance, coaching, and development decisions
  • Ability to analyze and develop requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, and system interfaces
  • Experience interacting with external customers and stakeholders
  • Ability to translate business goals into technical solutions
  • Travel up to 10% of the time
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the UK full-time; Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas
  • Physical requirements: primarily remain stationary, primarily indoor office work, ability to operate office equipment, verbal and written communication skills
