About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Report to the Head of Information Technology.
Own the strategy, design, implementation, and ongoing operations of enterprise IT infrastructure and security.
Oversee the Microsoft 365 environment, including IAM, Intune, Microsoft Defender, and Purview.
Ensure secure endpoint configuration and management with MSP and Security Operations Center partners, covering corporate devices and the BYOD program.
Architect and scale infrastructure and cloud computing environments to support company growth.
Lead data governance efforts, including DLP, sensitivity labels, and AI security policies.
Advance the Information Security program in alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Work with MSPs to manage web hosting, DNS, Cloudflare, and GitHub infrastructure.
Architect and support the cloud-based DevOps environment.
Ensure secure home-office technology infrastructure.
Lead implementation and optimization of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
Ensure infrastructure solutions comply with corporate policies, standards, and relevant regulations.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered
10+ years of progressive IT experience, including regulated life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical environments
Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, digital workplace technologies, business systems, and cybersecurity controls
Experience managing MSPs, vendors, and third-party technology partners
Working knowledge of SOX, GxP, FDA-regulated environments, and NIST CSF compliance and control frameworks
Expertise in Microsoft Azure, cloud architecture, and modern IT infrastructure
Familiarity with AI-enabled workplace tools, governance considerations, and business-process applications
Exceptional problem-solving skills and willingness to engage in hands-on technical support
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
