About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop comprehensive project plans for projects of $3 Million to $12 Million, including timelines, resource allocation, procurement strategies, contractual obligations, risk mitigation, and cost control
- Coordinate and oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, specifications, and contractual obligations
- Evaluate and select installation companies based on qualifications, experience, and cost-effectiveness
- Orchestrate qualified training of new IS installers, including general contractor self-perform teams
- Monitor project progress, track KPIs, and report project status, margins, errors/omissions, schedule adherence, and risks to stakeholders
- Manage PMs, track their progress, and provide support and feedback
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, legal requirements, local building codes, and contractual agreements
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, bonds, insurance, submittals, RFIs, permits/licenses, drawings, change orders, closeout documents, and postmortem reports
- Develop a project-status dashboard with the Principal Project Manager for live milestone, budget, development, and risk updates
- Conduct project evaluations and implement corrective measures during and after projects to protect and increase margins
- Coach PMs who need assistance managing margins
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Project Management group
- Ensure onsite teams complete required daily activities and contractor obligations
- Use ICE software for design, pricing, and scope review
- Determine DIRTT installation requirements, duration, equipment, compliance, and cost for projects throughout North America
- Lead and participate in pull-planning sessions from executed contract through completion
- Attend project site meetings with general contractors and other subcontractors as required
- Educate related trade groups on DIRTT manufactured solutions and trade integration
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or comparable field experience will be considered
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager
- Extensive experience in the DIRTT premanufactured construction industry
- Experience supervising, managing, and leading industry trades and construction projects
- Experience in prefabricated construction, including casework/millwork, drywall, or custom interiors/interior finishes
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract language, risk mitigation, building codes, and safety regulations
- In-depth understanding of DIRTT construction procedures, materials, and project management principles
- Familiarity with applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental Regulations
- Knowledge of project management, scheduling, and estimating software, including Word, Excel, MS Project, and Crew Based Estimating software
- Computer, problem-solving, communication, time-management, organizational, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Ability to lead project teams of various sizes in the field
- Travel required according to project size, schedule, and contingencies; international travel expected
- Must be 18 years or older
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing may be required
- Employment conditional upon successful background check, where permitted by law
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a large advantage
