About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analysing large datasets using tools such as SQL, Python, and Radar to support pricing and underwriting decisions
- Supporting the development of data assets and models, contributing to improved risk assessment and pricing accuracy
- Producing clear insights and analysis, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborating with Retail Pricing and Platform teams to support the release of platform and pricing changes
- Contributing to experiments and analysis, helping to test ideas and quantify their potential impact (with guidance from more senior colleagues)
- Supporting the delivery of projects, working with more experienced team members to ensure high-quality and timely outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience using SQL and Python for data analysis
- Previous experience, or a demonstrable interest, in applying data science techniques to large datasets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate insights
- Good communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to explain technical work clearly
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team and contribute to shared outcomes
- A numerate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related subject
- Desirable: Familiarity with insurance or pricing concepts
- Desirable: Exposure to tools such as WTW Radar
