About the role

  • As an Accountant (all genders), you will be part of the Finance & Procurement team and work closely with our Financial Accountant on both internal and external accounting.
  • You will play an important role in ensuring our processes are conducted cleanly, efficiently, and conscientiously.
  • Accounts payable: You will independently process and monitor all incoming invoices and maintain master data in Candis.
  • VAT & Compliance: You will prepare the monthly VAT returns and ensure the correct tax treatment of all business transactions.
  • Annual financial statements & tax support: You will provide significant support in preparing the annual financial statements for our large corporation.
  • Month-end closings: You will be responsible for ongoing quality assurance of accounts payable data to enable meaningful monthly reports (management reports/BWA and income statement/P&L) within the team.

Requirements

  • You bring solid knowledge and experience in accounting/bookkeeping and are motivated by a varied role within a committed team.
  • DATEV expertise: You have worked extensively with DATEV accounting software and are familiar with the full feature set needed for accounts payable.
  • You understand the requirements of a large corporation and are experienced in resolving accounts payable items as well as providing input for the year-end closing in the HGB (German Commercial Code) context.
  • You work in a structured way and are open to digital task management. Ideally, you already have initial experience with Asana to help shape our workflows efficiently.
  • You have German language skills at least at C1 level (written and spoken) and are not afraid to communicate in English. We use both English and German in our daily work.
