About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the preparation, review, and tie-out of SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K)
Draft new disclosures that are aligned with US GAAP and peers
Prepare financial statements and the statement of cash flows
Project manage quarterly reporting cycle
Liaison with external auditors
Conduct peer disclosure research and draft documentation
Assist with certain monthly Accounting closing procedures
Mentor, coach, and develop junior accounting staff
Continuously optimize SEC reporting processes
Maintain and enhance internal controls
Be an active participant on special projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

5-8 years of progressive accounting experience
Minimum of 4 years of direct SEC reporting experience, ideally within a 'Big 4' public accounting firm or a high-growth technology company
B.S. in Accounting or Finance
Active CPA license is strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience researching and drafting financial statements
Proficient in SEC reporting software (Workiva, Intelligize), ERP Systems (Oracle Fusion) and Excel
Self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Well-organized with excellent time management and attention to detail
Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
